Abstract

Materiál tvoří hmotnou podstatu každé stavby, každé architektury. Přesto jsou ty stavební hmoty, které tvoří nosnou část konstrukce, velmi často skryty okům diváka – a to nejen v historizující architektuře 19. století, která v tom navazuje na předchozí staletí. Přednáška se zaměří právě na tuto diskrepanci.

Abstract (in English)

The material forms the essence of every building, every architecture. Nevertheless, the building materials that form the supporting part of the structure are very often hidden from the viewer's eyes - and not only in the historicist architecture of the 19th century, which builds on previous centuries. The lecture will focus on this discrepancy.
