Abstract

Historia naturalis poskytuje pohľad do rímskych vedomostí prvého storočia. Dáva ojedinelý pohľad na dejiny umenia, divadla, geografie, ale i skúmania prírody. Predstavuje najdôležitejšie encyklopedické dielo svojej doby a je dielom autora, ktorý na nej pracoval desaťročia. Predstavuje dôležitý vklad do poznania dejín celého staroveku, mentalít dobového človeka a jeho vedomostí. Ide o prvý kompletný preklad v našom priestore.

Abstract (in English)

Historia Naturalis provides an insight into the Roman knowledge of the first century. It gives a unique view of the history of art, theater, geography, and the study of nature. It is the most important encyclopedic work of its time and is the work of an author who has worked on it for decades. It represents an important contribution to the knowledge of the history of antiquity, the mentalities of contemporary man, and his knowledge. This is the first complete translation in our space.
