Abstract

Opera Boris Goudenow (1710) německého skladatele a teoretika Johanna Matthesona představuje jedno z mnoha lžidimitrijovských děl evropské literární a hudební historie, tedy děl zobrazujících události ruských dějin, které na trůn přivedly prvního tamního samozvance Lžidimitrije I. Ač nejvíce jich vzniklo v 19. století, kdy Modest P. Musorgskij napsal i o poznání známější operu o caru Borisovi, první dramatická díla s postavou Borise a Lžidimitrije I. se objevila už několik let po smrti obou panovníků. Srovnání těchto literárních plodů napsaných přibližně do konce doby baroka a porovnání popisu obou carů v nich pak ukazuje poměrně důležitou roli převládajícího náboženství autorovy domoviny a jeho souvislost s prameny, které literáti využívali. Libreto Borise Goudenowa, které si Mattheson napsal sám, v tomto směru nepředstavuje výjimku.

Abstract (in English)

The opera Boris Goudenow (1710) by the German composer and theorist Johann Mattheson is one of the many Pseudo-Demetrius works of European literary and musical history, i.e. works depicting the events of Russian history that brought Pseudo-Demetrius I, to the throne. Although most of them were written in the 19th century, the first dramatic works featuring Boris and Pseudo-Demetrius I appeared several years after the death of both rulers. A comparison of these works written around the end of the Baroque period and a comparison of the descriptions of the two tsars in them then shows the rather important role of the prevailing religion of the author's homeland and its connection with the sources used by the writers. Libretto of Boris Goudenow, which Mattheson wrote himself, is no exception.
