Abstract
In my paper I seek to explore the visual works of Italian artists based in Japan. In particular I investigates the collaborative portraits of photographer Laura Liverani and the transcultural works of renowned dancer, musician and choreographer Alessio Silvestrin. In spite of their individual differences, the works of Liverani and Silvestrin share some common traits: the desire to be in contact with the Japanese culture, the negotiation between the two cultures, and the internalization of some specific aspects of Japanese culture.
