Abstract
The paper deals with the issue of distance education in the conditions of the Czech Republic at the time of restricted schooling due to COVID-19. The issue is approached on two levels. First, information is presented on the conditions for distance education, which were identified in the conditions of the Czech Republic through international surveys, before the restriction of schooling. The second part presents information about the specific effects of schooling restrictions in the Czech Republic, which were identified in current rapid surveys of educational reality.
