The Charlatan film talkback was organised by Finger Lakes Film Festival and partly it fell under the Virtual Cinema course on Ithaca College. Together with Dr. Rachel Schaff we discussed the film right after the screening - both narrative and stylistic aspects of the film, the construction of the main character in this particular and other biopics as well, the transnational nature of Central-European film production and the historical background of Jan Mikolášek’s story. The event took place one more time on November 9th, this time strictly as a part of the Ithaca College curriculum, namely Introduction to film studies course.
