Abstract
Tradice a modernita, mizející i nové, vesnice i město, periferie i centrum – to vše je sférou zájmu etnologie – vědecké disciplíny zabývající se člověkem a jím utvářenou kulturou v širších časoprostorových souvislostech. Etnologové dokumentují a snaží se poznat svět komunit, socioprofesních či etnických skupin nebo i celých společností. Pojďme se podívat na specifika této vědní disciplíny. Na šesti panelech výstava představuje základní principy studia etnologie i odborné práce etnologů a etnoložek.

Tradition and modernity, disappearing and new, village and the city, the periphery and the center - all this is a sphere of interest in ethnology - a scientific discipline dealing with man and the culture in a broader Spatio-temporal context. Ethnologists document and try to get to know the world of communities, socio-professional or ethnic groups, or even entire societies. Let's look at the specifics of this scientific discipline. On six panels, the exhibition presents the basic principles of the study of ethnology and the professional work of ethnologists.
