Abstract
Printing has a rich and long tradition in Mikulov and is inherent to the general history of printing in Moravia. Thanks to the effect of non-catholic elements and a significant Jewish community the production of books in MIkulov was unusually varied. In the first chapter the article reviews recent research on the Mikulov printers operating here from the 16th to 18th century. The second chapter is focused the unexplored history of Mikulov modern printer that was in operation here in 1859–1940.
