Organised by the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures of the Masaryk University of Brno and the Departments of Humanities and Culture and Society of the University of Palermo, the meeting aims at promoting discussion and confrontation among researchers who, from any theoretical perspective, are interested in the different forms and functions within modality and/or in contiguous fields such as directivity or evidentiality.
