Abstract

Le roman noir est connu en France pour être un genre littéraire politiquement et socialement très engagé. Pourtant, ce genre semble actuellement tâtonner dans la réalité hybride des années 2010. Si la production française donne l’impression d’un éternel retour à la lutte dialectique entre une gauche progressiste et une droite malveillante éternellement corrompue, la thématique de la corruption du pouvoir politique et ses conséquences sociétales donnent l’impression, en République tchèque, de ne pas être à l’ordre du jour. Mais peut-on vraiment parler de différentes réactions eu égard à ce phénomène social ? Cet article propose une brève réflexion portant sur deux romans actuels (Entre Fauves de Colin Niel, et Pět mrtvých psů de Michal Sýkora) qui posera peut-être plus de questions que n’apportera de réponses, surtout en comparaison avec la très intéressante production slovaque actuelle, traitant plus particulièrement de l’actualité.

Abstract (in Czech)

Je známo, že noirová literatura ve Francii je politicky a sociálně velmi angažovaná. Vypadá to ale, že žánr momentálně tápe v hybridní realitě prvních desetiletí 21. století. Francouzská produkce se také stále znovu a znovu vrací k dialektickému boji mezi progresivní levicí a zlovolnou, vždy zkorumpovanou pravicí. V České republice se ale zdá že tématika politické korupce a její dopad na společnost nejsou na pořadu dne. Ale je skutečně možné mluvit o různých reakcích na tento sociální fenomén? Článek, který zkoumá danou problematiku ve dvou románech (Entre Fauves Colina Niela, et Pět mrtvých psů Michala Sýkory) možná přináší více otázek než odpovědí na ně a to především ve srovnání s velmi zajímanou současnou slovenskou produkcí zpracovávající současné aktuální dění.

Abstract (in English)

In France, Noir fiction is acknowledged as a politically and socially engaged literary genre. Today it seems this genre is a little lost in the hybrid reality of the first decade of the 21st century. While the French production appears to stick to the eternal return to the dialectic conflict between the progressive left and malevolent right (which is always described as corrupt), it seems that in the Czech Republic the theme of political corruption and its impact on society is not so omnipresent. However, are these truly different reactions to this social phenomenon? This article examine two contemporary novels – Entre Fauves by Colin Niel and Pět mrtvých psů by Michal Sýkora. It is entirely possible it might bring more questions than answers, especially when comparison to the very interesting Slovak literature, which deals with topical events, is brought to the equation.
