Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present the Czech legislation pertaining to land consolidation with emphasis on its importance as a tool for mitigating the impacts of climate change. The text focuses on whether the legally defined purpose of land consolidation corresponds with the requirements for climate change mitigation. Attention is paid to specific strategic and policy instruments relating to land consolidation, including the link between land consolidation and the objective of the European Green Deal. Based on the investigation carried out, the author concludes that the land consolidation measures do correspond with selected objectives and chapters of the European Green Deal.
