Jádrem studie je analýza studie románu Vladislava Vančury Konec starých časů (1934) od Jana Mukařovského, otištěné roku 1934 v časopisu Listy pro umění a kritiku, a Mukařovského doslovu ke čtvrtému vydání Konce starých časů z roku 1958. Autor také zařazuje oba analyzované texty do kontextu příslušné odborné literatury.

In English

The core of the study is an analysis of Jan Mukařovský´s study of Vladislav Vančura´s novel The End of the Old Times (1934), published in 1934 in the journal Listy pro umění a kritiku, and Mukařovskýʼs afterword to the fourth edition of The End of Old Times, published in 1958. The author also considers both analyzed texts in the context of the relevant literature.
