Abstract

Edukace warfarinizovaného pacienta lékárníkem je velmi důležitá, nespočívá jen ve výběru vhodného volně prodejného léčiva nebo doplňku stravy, identifikaci případných lékových interakcí, ale i v upozornění pacienta na možné projevy nežádoucích účinků či informování v oblasti dietních a režimových opatření. Bylo provedeno dotazníkové šetření mezi lékárníky, s cílem zjištění dostupnosti edukačních materiálů v lékárně, způsobu řešení dotazů pacientů, míry znalostí respondentů v problematice interakcí warfarinu, znalosti ohledně výskytu nežádoucích účinků a komplikací a postupu řešení zapomenuté dávky léčiva. Znalostní otázky potvrdily místy nedostatečné znalosti lékárníků zejména v oblasti volby vhodných analgetik a správného postupu v případě, že pacient zapomene užít denní dávku warfarinu, byla prokázána vynikající znalost lékárníků v oblasti zdravotních komplikací warfarinu.

Abstract (in English)

Education of a warfarin patient by a pharmacist is very important; it does not consist only in the selection of a suitable over-the-counter drug or food supplement, the identification of possible drug interactions, but also in alerting the patient to possible manifestations of side effects or informing in dietary and regime measures. A questionnaire survey among pharmacists was carried out to determine the availability of educational materials in the pharmacy, how to deal with patient queries, the level of knowledge of respondents in the issue of warfarin interactions, knowledge regarding the occurrence of side effects and complications, and the procedure for dealing with a forgotten dose of the drug. The survey confirmed the sometimes insufficient knowledge of pharmacists, especially in the choice of appropriate analgesics and the correct procedure if a patient forgets to take a daily dose of warfarin. Excellent knowledge of pharmacists in the health complications of warfarin was demonstrated.
