Abstract

Kniha podává výklady o vzniku a rozšíření názvů sídel na Jihlavsku, které poskytují obraz nejen o typech a stáří jejich tvoření, ale zároveň odkrývají různé vrstvy osídlování kraje i rozvinuté středověké dobývání stříbrné rudy. Prozrazují také kontakt s německými hornickými kolonisty. Stopy v nich zanechaly i jevy přírodní. Po zaniklých sídlech zbyla dnešní jména lesů, polí apod. Názvy obcí patří k historické paměti kraje. Vymezují v ní příslušnost k národnímu jazyku, formují regionální povědomí a posilují pocit domova. Je proto dobré se o nich něco více dozvědět.

Abstract (in English)

The book explains the origin and expansion of the names of settlements in the Jihlava region, which provide a picture not only of the types and age of them, but also reveal various layers of settlement in the region and the developed medieval mining of silver ore. The names also are indicative of soem contacts with German mining colonists and natural phenomena. After the vanishing of some settlements, the present names of forests, fields, etc. remain. The names of the villages belong to the historical memory of the region. They show belonging to a national language, form regional awareness and strengthen a sense of home. It is therefore good to learn a little more about them.
