Abstract

Představení osobnosti, díla a vlivu Jaroslava Foglara se neomezuje na historickou životopisnou črtu, ale usiluje mj. na základě empirického šetření (n=1174) o ucelené odborné zpracování poměrně složitého so- ciálního jevu. Svědčí o vlivu obvykle v dětství získané čtenářské zkuše- nosti na celý budoucí život, stejně jako o zájmu několika vědních oborů (komiksová studia, literární věda, religionistika, pedagogika) o specific- ké metody skautského vychovatele, spisovatele chlapecké literatury a redaktora několika dětských časopisů. Je tak prvním knižním počinem přesahujícím teoretické úvahy a hypotézy směrem k evidenci založené na dotazování čtenářů a příznivců Foglarových textů.

Abstract (in English)

The presentation of the personality, work and influence of Jaroslav Foglar is not limited to a historical biographical sketch, but seeks, among other things, on the basis of an empirical survey (n = 1174), to provide a compre- hensive professional treatment of a relatively complex social phenom- enon. The evidence of the influence which the reading experience usually acquired in childhood has on the whole future life, as well as the interest of several scientific disciplines (comic studies, literary science, religious studies, education) in the specific methods of the scout educator, writer of boys’ literature and editor of several children’s magazines is thus the first book venture going beyond theoretical considerations and hypoth- eses towards evidence based on surveys of readers and fans of Foglar’s texts.
