Abstract

I přes rozmach nových datových zdrojů (big data, sociální sítě atd.) zůstává výběrové šetření jedním z klíčových nástrojů sociálních věd. Tato metoda však již nějaký čas trpí snižující se návratností a zvyšujícími se náklady, což jsou trendy ještě výrazně urychlené pandemií. Do popředí se tedy stále naléhavěji dostává potřeba metodologii výběrových šetření inovovat. Jednou z relevantních inovací je tzv. smíšený mód, tedy kombinace více metod sběru dat (ve smyslu sběru telefonického, osobního, online apod.) pro získání jednoho datového souboru. Postupná implementace smíšeného módu je patrná v řadě velkých mezinárodních šetření (ESS, EVS, GGS), jichž se ČR dlouhodobě účastní. Zavedení metody v tuzemsku by ovšem mělo předcházet důkladné testování, neboť sběr dat v každé zemi probíhá ve specifickém kulturním a legislativním rámci, a smíšený mód tedy může i různě fungovat. Tento worshop prezentuje průběžné výsledky metodologického projektu TAČR zaměřeného na sběr dat smíšeným módem v českém prostředí, diskuzi ohledně vyvíjené metody a možnostech jejího využití. Zvláštní pozornost bude věnována kvalitě získaných dat a efektu módu, tj. srovnatelnosti dat sebraných online a osobním dotazováním.

Abstract (in English)

The current pandemic has significantly accelerated the long-term problems of survey research, such as the declining willingness to participate in (especially personal) surveys, the disintegration of interview networks, or the rising costs of various types of surveys. At the same time, there has been a faster spread of technology and an increase in ICT literacy, as well as a shift in large-scale sociological surveys to mixed-mode or online surveys. How important is it for us to maintain random selections in terms of the legitimacy of the survey and the quality of the data? We will discuss these challenges with findings from the TA CR project "Development of multimode data collection and implementation of this type of survey in the field of population, sociological and marketing research", which focused on design and testing data collection by CAPI and CAWI methods. We will show the extent to which it is possible to obtain a representative sample for online surveys by calling random numbers. We will talk about the effectiveness of various motivational elements to gain the trust of the addressed respondents and their willingness to cooperate. And above all, we welcome the ideas and experiences of you - members of the academic community, research agencies and other entities working with questionnaire data.
