Abstract

V kazuistice je popisována léčba diabetes mellitus 2. typu u seniora s 121etým trváním diabetu s postupně se zhoršující glomerulární filtrací, která nechtěně vedla k omezení širších mož¬ností farmakoterapie. S poklesem GFR byl redukován a následně vysazen metformin, se zahájením léčby inzulínem Toujeo byl vysazen linagliptin. Praxe ukazuje, že v řadě tomuto podobných případů je efektivní, spolehlivou a bezpečnou léčbou injekční aplikace bazálního inzulínového analoga glargin 300 Uiml (Toujeo).

Abstract (in English)

The case report describes the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in a senior pacient with 12 years of diabetes, and with gradually deteriorating glomerular filtration, which inadver-tently led to a reduction in pharmacotherapy options. With a decrease in GFR, treatment with metformin was reduced and subsequently discontinued, and linagliptin therapy was ter¬minated upon the initiation of Toujeo insulin therapy. Experience has shown that in many cases similar to this one, injection of the basal insulin analogue glargine 300 U/mL (Toujeo) is a reliable, efFective and safe treatment option.
