Abstract

Workshop určený pro praktikujíc psychology, kteří již zapomněli základy statistiky, ale přesto si chtějí přečíst nejnovější psychologické výzkumy. Nebudeme vás ale učit nic počítat – naopak vám jen ukážeme, jak „číst“ výsledkové části odborných psychologických článků. Názorně představíme základní statistiky a testy/modely, a naučíme vás porozumět výsledkům nejpoužívanějších statistik, které můžete v odborných článcích potkat: od korelací až po strukturní modely. Není to dost na kritické čtení, ale je to dost na porozumění. Kurz je určen pro začátečníky; předpokládáme jen to, že už jste někdy dávno nějaký úvod měli.

Abstract (in English)

Workshop for practising psychologists who have long forgotten the foundations of statistics they acquired in school but still want to enjoy reading psychological research reports. The workshop shows how to read results sections of journal articles, introduces basic statistics, tests and models that are commonly used - from correlations to structural equation models. It would not be enough for critical reading but it should be a sufficient base for understanding the gist of the results. The workshop is intended for for beginners who have taken some statistics course in the past.
