Abstract

Schule ist in der Moderne mehrheitlich staatlich organisiert und zu ihren Funktionen zählt die Integration Heranwachsender in die bestehende Gesellschaft und die Legitimation des bestehenden sozialen und politischen Systems. Von daher ist naheliegend, dass ein politischer Systembruch, wie ihn die Staaten Ostmitteleuropas 1989 erlebten, auch zu wesentlichen Veränderungen in der Schule führt. Vor diesem Hintergrund wollen wir im Rahmen des Workshops den Zusammenhang zwischen der politischen Zäsur von 1989 und dem Wandel des Schulsystems in den Staaten Ostmitteleuropas studieren. Gut 30 Jahre nach dem Fall des Eisernen Vorhangs wollen wir eine vorläufige Bilanz über Veränderungen in Schulsystemen ziehen und neue Perspektiven suchen.

Abstract (in English)

In modern times, schools are mostly organized by the state and their functions include the integration of adolescents into the existing society and the legitimation of the existing social and political system. It is therefore obvious that a political system break, as experienced in the states of East Central Europe in 1989, will also lead to significant changes in schools. Against this background, we want to use the workshop to study the connection between the political caesura of 1989 and the change in the school system in the countries of East Central Europe. A good 30 years after the fall of the Iron Curtain, we want to take stock of the changes in school systems and look for new perspectives.
