Abstract

Přednáška představila doposud prakticky neznámou sbírku, kterou na Moravě díky značným finančním možnostem sestavil uměnímilovný textilní velkopodnikatel Karl Löw a především na zdroje, aukce sbírek významných vídeňských a budapešťských sběratelů, z nichž se mu mezi léty 1915 až 1923 podařilo zakoupit více jak 60 obrazů nejen starých, zejména holandských mistrů 17. století, ale též vídeňských, mnichovských a düsseldorfských malířů 19. století.

Abstract (in English)

The lecture presented a hitherto practically unknown collection, which in Moravia, thanks to considerable financial possibilities, was compiled by art-loving textile entrepreneur Karl Löw and especially sources, auctions of collections of important Viennese and Budapest collectors, from which he managed to buy more than 60 paintings not only old, especially Dutch masters of the 17th century, but also Viennese, Munich and Düsseldorf painters of the 19th century.
