Abstract
While treating songs as a worthy literary genre, the talk has addressed the question whether when perceived simultaneously music and language are processed in parallel, or one can influence the perception of the other. The nature of meaningful concepts and particularly the processing of linguistic concepts and their possible influencing by music have been highlighted. Supporting evidence for the role of mental imagery and cognitive schemas in understanding of song has been summarized.
