Abstract (in English)
Report at the conference is devoted to the study of the concept of war in Victor Astafyev’s novel "Prokliaty i ubity (The Cursed and the Slain)" and to the revealing author's attitude to this phenomenon, expressed in repetitive images and ideas, discovering the specifics of the composition artistic world in the context of the writer's work. Various aspects of the depiction of war based on the material of the novel "The Cursed and the Slain" are analyzed. As a result, a conclusion was drawn about the features of Astafyev’s late prose and the image of war in his novel.
