Abstract

Studie se zabývá dvěma typy sběratelských aktivit rodiny Nosticů (zejména Otty Nostice ml.) a jejich příbuzného, hraběte Františka Antonína Berky z Dubé. Na těchto příkladech jsou představeny dva typy sběratelských konceptů, které se v raném novověku uplatnily mezi aristokratickými sběrateli. Bohatá knihovna Otty Nostice s malou sbírkou artificialií a mirabilií vycházela spíše z tradice pozdně manýristických kunstkomor, mimořádná obrazová sbírka hraběte Františka Antonína Berky z Dubé představuje výraznou ukázku nových sběratelských postojů, které ve střední Evropě uplatňoval mj. arcivévoda Leopold Vilém nebo kníže Karel Eusebisus z Liechtensteina.

Abstract (in English)

The paper brings the examples of the collecting activities of the Nostitz family (especially Otto Nostitz Jr.) and their relative, Count František Antonín Berka of Dubá. On their examples the two poles were shown between which the aristocratic collecting of the early modern era in Central Europe oscillated. The extensive library of Otto Nostitz with quite a small collection of artificialia and mirabilia was still based on concept of encyclopedic Kunst- und Wunderkammern of mannerism. The exceptional picture cabinet of Count Berka is a specimen of the new collectors attitudes, which in Central Europe had been introduced by the Archduke Leopold or Prince Karl Eusebius of Liechtenstein.
