Abstract
Subjective Poverty And Its Structure In The Czech Republic. Poverty has become again a legitimate subject of social policy discussions in the Czech republic. These discussions have opened, as in other developed countries, problems of measuring poverty. In its first part, this article describes various possibilities of how poverty is usually defined and measured by foreign economists and sociologists. In the second part, it applies Leyden Subjective Poverty Line method and brings data on Czech subjective poverty. The structure of Czech subjective perception of poverty is finally compared with structures of subjective poverty in Sweden and Australia.
