Abstract
Compound 1 features several interesting structural motifs that are closely related to those of zeolitic frameworks. Moreover, the strong Al-F bonds in the starting material are retained in the product, which provides a lead for the investigation of the mineralizing action and structure-directing role of fluoride in the microporous materials by 19F NMR spectroscopy. Most importantly, this molecule contains several reactive centers, which may be employed in the transformation of this precursor to porous materials.
