Histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACI) represent a relatively new generation of drugs with the ability to affect the expression of specific genes, which can repair controlled proliferation or damaged apoptotic processes in tumor cells. For this reason, HDACIs suggest a promising approach to cancer treatment.
