Anotace

Titled Academic Study of Religions in a Cognitive, Anthropological and Sociological Perspective, this book focuses mainly on current approaches in contemporary study of religions without neglecting their historical context. The book is targeted at advanced readers, i.e. mainly doctoral students of religious studies; however, it is equally suitable for students from related fields. As the main criterion, we have chosen theoretical and methodological approaches that we wish to develop within the study of religions at Palacký University in Olomouc, mainly the cognitive one, but also other approaches with a long tradition in our academia, such as sociology of religion and anthropology of religion. Although this work is tailor-made specifically for our doctoral students, it can nonetheless become an inspiration for experts in religious studies or for anyone interested in religious issues.

Anotace česky

Tato kniha, kterou jsme nazvali Religionistika v kognitivní, antropologické a sociologické perspektivě, je zaměřena především na aktuální přístupy v soudobé religionistice, avšak neopomíjí ani historický kontext. Cílem autorského kolektivu bylo tedy sepsat texty, řekněme, pro „pokročilé“ v religionistice, za něž považujeme zejména studenty doktorského studia religionistiky, ale i příbuzných oborů. Jako hlavní kritérium jsme si zvolili takové teoretické a metodologické přístupy, které chceme v rámci olomoucké religionistiky rozvíjet. Je to zejména kognitivní religionistika, ale současně také ty přístupy, které na našem pracovišti mají dlouhodobou tradici, zejména pak sociologie náboženství a antropologie náboženství. Tato práce by tedy měla být takzvaně „šitá na míru“ zejména studentům, což však neznamená, že se nemůže stát inspirativní i pro odborníky v tomto oboru, či zájemce o religionistickou problematiku.
