Abstract
The alignment of humans and technology is the prerequisite of Industry 4.0 to enable new possibilities. Industry 4.0 is the harbinger of Education 4.0. Transforming education from a knowledge-based model to a competency-based model is the focus of Education 4.0. It emphasizes the production of personnel who are critical thinkers, complex problem solvers, creative, and decision-makers and have cognitive flexibility. Thus, the onus is on the education industry to generate a pool of youth who take value-driven leadership in the globalized knowledge society. Competencies embedded with values would construct a shared future on the principles of well-being and happiness around the globe. This chapter will discuss the core competencies i.e., technical, methodological, social, and personal, along with core values such as human dignity, justice, responsibility, respect, equality, freedom, tolerance, cultural diversity, global mindedness, and democracy for Education 4.0 curriculum.
