Abstract (in English) |
---|
I consider the topic of virtue ethics and its contribution to a more accurate understanding of professionalism to be very current and at the same time extremely important. I am therefore glad that Ondřej Fischer took up this topic - also for the reason that, as one of the few domestic authors, he is able to view professional ethics from the perspective of philosophy and philosophical ethics and at the same time through the lens of practical social work. In my opinion, the text provides a very solid basis for clarifying the theoretical background of the concept of professionalism and enriching it not only with new ideas, but also for gaining the necessary insight into the technically conceived professionalism. The author draws from a large number of sources and his text provides an excellent basis for teaching professional ethics, i.e. in an area where domestic publications are noticeably lacking. It's just a pity that the text is written in a rather complex style, so its form does not make reading very easy. I also recommend paying attention to clarifying the concept of classic professionalism. |
