Abstract

V České republice má v současnosti 40 tisíc dětí rodiče ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody. I přes vysoký počet těchto dětí neexistují žádné domácí výzkumy této problematiky a nejsou dostatečně zmapovány specifické potřeby dětí vězněných rodičů. Vizí našeho výzkumného projektu je zvýšit kvalitu života (well-being) dětí odsouzených rodičů. Výzkumný design capabilit umožňuje porozumět životní situaci a prospívání dětí, jejich život je poznamenán odchodem rodiče do VTOS. Projekt prozkoumá, jak odchod rodiče do vězení ovlivní život a prospívání dítěte. Poskytne přehled o potřebách dětí a rizicích v jejich životě, využitelný pro všechny, kteří pracují s dětmi a odsouzenými rodiči. Projekt se chce zaměřit na postupy k udržení rodičovství za mřížemi. Cílem výzkumného projektu je zlepšení prospívání dětí, o jejichž utrpení a obtížích se jen málo ví. Jde o skupinu dětí odsouzených rodičů ve VTOS.

Abstract (in English)

In the Czech Republic, 40 000 children currently have a parent in prison. Despite the high number of these children, there is no domestic research on this issue and the specific needs of children of incarcerated parents are not sufficiently mapped. The vision of our research project is to improve the quality of life (well-being) of children of incarcerated parents. The research design of the capabilites allows us to understand the life situation and thriving of children whose lives are marked by the departure of a parent to the VTOS. The project will explore how a parent's departure to prison affects a child's life and thriving. It will provide an overview of children's needs and risks in their lives, useful for all those working with children and incarcerated parents. The project intends to focus on practices to sustain parenting behind bars. The research project aims to improve the wellbeing of children whose suffering and difficulties are little known. This is a group of children of incarcerated parents in VTOS.
