Anotace

AA constituição de um cânone é sempre uma tarefa arriscante e, por natureza, incompleta. O cânone varia com o tempo, abrigando e excluindo autores conforme a sua consagração e rigor evaluativo, vigente em cada período, fornecendo a polaridade assente nos vetores da temporalidade/atemporalidade uma perspetiva mais ou menos objetiva do que merece ser abordado nas instituições de ensino. Além disso, o estabelecimento de um cânone da literatura estrangeira deve levar em consideração mais um aspeto importante: a existência das traduções. Pretende-se, portanto, nesta palestra, propor uma breve reflexão sobre a constituição do cânone da Literatura Portuguesa nessa “praia sem mar”, que é, na expressão de António Franco Alexandre, a Europa Central (“Zentraleuropa, 1” In Carrocel, 2021). Neste caso particular, trata-se da cidade de Brno, situada no cruzamento de trajetos entre três capitais centro-europeias, Praga, Viena e Bratislava. Dentro desta problemática será focada e discutida, em especial, a posição e importância (nem sempre devidamente reconhecida) da narrativa breve no cânone e no ensino da Literatura Portuguesa.

Anotace anglicky

The constitution of a canon is always a risky task and, by nature, incomplete. The canon varies over time, sheltering and excluding authors according to their consecration and evaluative rigour, in force in each period, providing the polarity based on the vectors of temporality/atemporality a more or less objective perspective of what deserves to be addressed in educational institutions. Moreover, the establishment of a canon of foreign literature should take into consideration one more important aspect: the existence of translations. It is intended, therefore, in this lecture, to propose a brief reflection on the constitution of the canon of Portuguese Literature in that "beach without a sea", which is, in António Franco Alexandre's expression, Central Europe ("Zentraleuropa, 1" In Carrocel, 2021). In this particular case, it is the city of Brno, located in the crossroads between three Central European capitals, Prague, Vienna and Bratislava. Within this problematic will be focused and discussed, in particular, the position and importance (not always properly recognized) of the short narrative in the canon and teaching of Portuguese Literature.
