Abstract
Abstract (in English)
Starting from the genological challenge posed by the subtitle "false Gothic tale" that accompanies the title of the short story "Negra sombra que me assombras" (Gente melancolicamente louca, 2015) by Teresa Veiga (1945), the present communication focuses on the manifestations of the Gothic in Veiguian fiction, while focusing on the subversion of schemes and, consequently, its semantic openness. The reflection is based on the concept of the Gothic as an aesthetic category open to transnational circulation (Botting 2002, Smith 2014, Punter 2021).
