Abstract

Přednáška představí několik směrů adaptačních studií. Studium adaptace umožňuje mj. pojmenovat intertextové a intermediální vztahy a uchopit významový pohyb, k němuž dochází při transpozici díla do jiného média i kultury. Při psaní adaptačních či intermediálních dějin literatury a kultury si kromě jiného můžeme všímat, jak adaptátoři využili různé formy médií, aby publiku přiblížili literaturu staršího období. Takový přístup k adaptacím umožňuje zkoumat, jak jsou spojeny s dobovou kulturou. A dále: jak modelují rozumění situaci člověka, kultury a společnosti.

Abstract (in English)

The lecture will introduce several directions of adaptation studies. The study of adaptation allows, among other things, to name intertextual and intermedial relations and to grasp the movement of meaning that occurs when a work is transposed into another medium and culture. In writing adaptation or intermedia histories of literature and culture, we can note, among other things, how adapters have used different forms of media to bring the literature of an earlier period to an audience. Such an approach to adaptations allows us to examine how they are connected to contemporary culture. And further: how they model an understanding of the situation of man, culture, and society.
