Abstract

Kniha vypráví příběh návštěvy Marie Terezie a jejího doprovodu na Moravu v červnu 1748. Primárním impulsem cesty byla plánovaná přehlídka ruského pomocného sboru, vyslaného carevnou Alžbětou Petrovnou na základě nově uzavřené aliance s carským dvorem na bojiště v dnešní Belgii a Holandsku k podpoře koaličních sil. primární cíl cesty byl brzy dvorem rozšířen a pobyt Marie Terezie, jejího manžela Františka Štěpána a jejich doprovodu byl plně využit k prezentaci panovnice v zemi. Byla to však civilní prezentace bez okázalých ceremonií, jak vyplývá z nenuceného a přátelského chování dvora a zejména panovnice během návštěvy. Studie popisuje detailně tuto významnou událost od okamžiku rozhodnutí panovnice o cestě, což se stalo na počátku března, mnoho měsíců před jejím uskutečněním. Sleduje její konkrétní průběh v červnu a nenechává stranou důsledky, které se řešily několik měsíců po ní. Popis návštěvy je zasazen do kontextu tehdejších důležitých souvislostí. Vyprávění je rozděleno do tří hlavních částí, první sleduje přípravy, které předcházely cestě a popisuje kroky, které musely být vykonány v zemi před příjezdem panovnice. Druhá část se zabývá skutečným průběhem cesty od odjezdu Marie Terezie a jejího doprovodu z Schönbrunnu na Moravu 11. června 1748 až do jejího návratu po více než deseti dnech. Třetí část pojednává o dozvucích návštěvy. Sleduje události, k nimž došlo bezprostředně po pobytu veličenstev v zemi a které s ním souvisely.

Abstract (in English)

The book tells the story of the visit of Maria Theresa and her entourage to Moravia in June 1748. The primary impetus for this trip was a planned parade of Russian auxiliary corps sent by Tsarina Elizabeth Petrovna under a newly concluded alliance treaty with the Tsar's court to the battlefields of present-day Belgium and Holland to support the coalition forces there. The primary purpose of the trip was soon expanded by the court and the stay of Maria Theresa, her husband Francis Stephen, and their entourage in Moravia was fully used to present the monarch in the country. It was, however, a civil presentation, without ostentatious ceremonies, as was evident from the casual and friendly behaviour of the court and especially of the monarch during the journey. The study describes this spectacular event comprehensively. It covers the visit from the moment of the monarch's decision to hold it, which was made at the beginning of March, many months before it took place. It traces its concrete course in June and does not leave aside its aftermath, which again took several months to resolve. The description of the visit considers important contemporary contexts. The interpretation is divided into three main parts. The first traces the preparations that preceded the visit and describes what had to be done in the country visited before the arrival of the monarch. The second part deals with the actual course of the visit from the departure of Maria Theresa and her entourage from Schönbrunn to Moravia on 11 June 1748 until her return after more than ten days. The third part deals with the reverberations of the visit. It traces the events that happened immediately after the Majesties' stay in the country and were are related to it.
