Abstract
The Košice City Archives hold forty-two medieval fragments in total, including thirty notated and twelve non-notated ones. Most of the materials presumably originated in scriptoria in the territory of present-day Slovakia, Hungary, or Romania (medieval Hungary: mainly Spiš, Šariš, and Transylvania). All of the fragments formed the binding of various administrative documents of the municipality of Košice or come from a separate cover from the East Slovak Museum in Košice. The fragments date back to a period ranging from the late thirteenth century to the early sixteenth century.
