Abstract
A series of phenolic compounds isolated from Morus alba (mulberrofuran A and B, mulberroside C, kuwanon C, U, and H) was selected for anti-inflammatory activity verification based on the traditional usage of the source. The study determined test compounds' inhibitory effect on the NF-κB/AP-1 cellular pathway using a QUANTI-Blue™ assay. Mulberrofuran B has demonstrated the highest inhibitory effect among the test compounds, comparable to the positive control results (prednisolone).
