Abstract

Tato zevrubná recenze poskytuje čtenáři popis a kritický vhled do projektu Buddha zblízka, který uspořádala Národní galerie v Praze ve spolupráci s Museum Rietberg na jaře 2022. Pojednáno je o motivacích/záměrech organizátorů a obsahových liniích výstavy s popisem předních vystavených artefaktů. Součástí článku jsou také recenze vydaného katalogu a dokumentárního cyklu, obsahuje rovněž zprávy ze dvou konferencí konaných pod záštitou projektu.

Abstract (in English)

This in-depth review aims to provide the reader with comprehensive insight and description of the project The Buddha Up Close, organized by the National Gallery Prague in cooperation with Museum Rietberg in the spring of 2022. The organizers' motivations and intentions, the exhibition's content lines with a description of the leading artefacts on display, and a review of the published catalogue and documentary series are discussed. The article also includes reports from two conferences held under the auspices of the project.
