The interpretation of bird signs is remembered also by the folk oral tradition as a sort of synecdochic image of the whole divinatory knowledge. This paper will introduce Mongolian manuscripts of bird related divination texts found in collections in the Czech Republic and some field remarks concerning the bird divination and interpreting bird signs among the Oirats.
