Abstract

Dans cet article, nous abordons les concepts théoriques et appliqués de l'analyse géocritique de l'espace dans les œuvres littéraires. La perspective géocritique se concentre sur les œuvres de deux auteurs français du tournant des XXe et XXIe siècles, Christiane Singer et Sylvie Germain, dont les inspirations spatiales se croisent à bien des égards. Les auteurs tentent d'appréhender la relativité de l'espace que les personnages littéraires habitent, définissent et parcourent. L'identité culturelle de l'espace pour les deux auteurs est également influencée par la dimension de transcendance qui imprègne leurs œuvres. L'objectif est donc d'identifier les différents aspects qui influencent la création de l'espace dans leurs œuvres.

Abstract (in Czech)

Článek se zabývá teoretickým i aplikovaným pojetím geokritické analýzy prostoru v literárních dílech. Geokritický pohled se zaměřuje na díla dvou francouzských autorek přelomu 20. a 21. století, Christiane Singerové a Sylvie Germainové, jejichž prostorové inspirace se v mnohém prolínají. Autorky se snaží vyrovnat s relativitou prostoru, který literární postavy obývají, vymezují jej a cestují v něm. Kulturní identitu prostoru obou autorek ovlivňuje také rozměr transcendence, který prostupuje jejich díly. Cílem je proto identifikovat jednotlivé aspekty, které ovlivňují vytváření prostoru v jejich dílech.

Abstract (in English)

The paper deals with both theoretical and applied concept of geocritical analysis of space in literary works. The geocritical view focuses on the works of two French authors at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, Christiane Singer and Sylvie Germain, whose spatial inspirations intersect in many ways. The authors try to cope with the relativity of the space that literary characters inhabit, define and travel in it. The cultural identity of both authors' space is also influenced by the dimension of transcendence penetrating their works. The aim is therefore to identify the individual aspects that affect the creation of space in their works.
