Abstract
The dataset describes archaeological sites on Crete from the Roman to the Venetian period. The data inform on changes in settlement patterns and land use during the long Byzantine period (A. D. 324 - 1204) with the "interlude" of the Emirate of Crete (A. D. 824 - 961).
