The conference explores the (visual) culture of commemoration in early modern period in the context of social, religious and political life of the period. The scholars from following institutiens will participate at the event the scholars from University Leiden, Jagiellonian University, Cracow, Université François-Rabelais, Tours, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, University of Pardubice, Lithuanian Culture Research Institute, Vilnius, Leibniz University Hannover, Lviv National Academy of Arts.

Předmětem konference je zkoumání (vizuální) kultury paměti a vzpomínání v období raného novověku v kontextu společenského, náboženského a politického života. Mezi účastníky budou historikové umění z následujících institucí: Universiteit Leiden, Uniwersytet Jagielloński, Kraków, Université François-Rabelais, Tours, Národní universita Tarase Ševčenka, Kyjev, Universita Pardubice, Leibniz Universität Hannover, Lvovská národní akademie umění.
