Abstract
Xanthones are secondary plant metabolites with significant biological activity. Maclura pomifera is an interesting source of these compounds. Using chromatographic methods, several compounds were isolated from the bark of this tree, of which osajaxanthone, toxyloxanthone C and mesuaxanthone A were identified by HPLC, MS and NMR. Identification continues for other substances.

Xanthony jsou sekundární metabolity rostlin s významnou biologickou aktivitou. Zajímavým zdrojem těchto sloučenin je Maclura pomifera. Pomocí chromatografických metod bylo z kůry tohoto stromu izolováno několik sloučenin, z nichž osajaxanthon, toxyloxanthon C a mesuaxanthon A byly identifikovány pomocí HPLC, MS a NMR. U dalších látek identifikace pokračuje.
