Abstract

Týráním, zneužíváním, špatným zacházením a podrýváním důstojnosti trpí v ČR 29 % seniorů a seniorek. Podle hrubých odhadů stojí snahy o řešení tohoto fenoménu naši společnost přes 1,5 miliardy korun ročně. Přesto hlasy obětí zůstávají skryté. Přivítáme proto kanadskou expertku Arlene Groh, která přiblíží své letité zkušenosti s problematikou týrání a zneužívání seniorů řešenou prostřednictvím restorativních přístupů.

Abstract (in English)

29% of elderly men and women in the Czech Republic suffer from torture, abuse, ill-treatment and undermining of their dignity. According to rough estimates, efforts to tackle this phenomenon cost our society over CZK 1.5 billion a year. Yet the voices of the victims remain hidden. We will therefore welcome Canadian expert Arlene Groh, who will share her years of experience in addressing the issue of elder abuse and exploitation through restorative approaches.
