Takzvaná archeogenetika představuje doslova revoluci v současné archeologii. Jejím hlavním cílem je analýza genomů z kosterních pozůstatků a sledování biologických změn v populacích minulosti. Patří tak mezi další metody výzkumu, které vyvstaly ze spolupráce humanitních a přírodních věd. Jaký je přínos archeogenetiky pro naše chápání minulosti a jaká etická rizika v sobě skrývá? Abstract (in English)

So-called archaeogenetics represents a literal revolution in contemporary archaeology. Its main goal is to analyse genomes from skeletal remains and to track biological changes in past populations. It is thus one of the other research methods that have emerged from the collaboration of the humanities and the natural sciences. What is the contribution of archaeogenetics to our understanding of the past and what ethical risks does it pose? And can archaeogenetics be used by modern medicine?
