Abstract
V originále
This paper presents basic overview and methodological framework of a new project focused on religious interferences of Altaic people in the Tarim Ba-sin and in Turfan area. The first part opens the topic and mentions focus of the project on tributary relations among Inner Asian political center(s) and Mongolia, Korea and Vietnam. In the second part methodological remarks distinguish different functions of interconnected language and religion, when religious systems are understood from the point of view of social and political regulation. Similarly like language, even religion can be replaced in human groups in regulation of social processes. Here the focus on religious interferences improves understanding and mapping of human interactions similarly like the mapping of language spread or cultural diffusion. In the third part archaeology, economy and local cultures are related to the patterns of Altaic presence in the Tarim Basin with basic timeline, types of international relations and with a special focus on Turfan. The fourth part mentions religious systems, namely the contexts of animism and sky-worship, development of Buddhism in Turfan, context of Uyghur conversion to Manichaeism and context of Islam. Dominant focus of all comments is on Turfan because of its special location and dominant Altaic rule. Final remarks in the fifth part summarize principles of regulation in religious interferences, explain targets of future research and conclude that Altaic international interests were supporting religious diversity and vice versa Altaic sponsorship of religious diversity was supporting more effective international diplomacy and political interests of Altaic groups.
