Abstract
Abstract (in English)
Paris, Bibliothèque nationale de France, MS It. 557, an interesting 15th century multi-text manuscript that has already been the subject of detailed analysis on several occasions in the framework of philology of structures, bears at its end a vernacular translation of the Disticha Catonis, presumably of Florentine origin, hitherto unknown to scholars except for a few quotations, of unclear provenance, in the dictionary by Tommaseo-Bellini. The article, an ideal complement to another work on the manuscript edited by the author, provides a study and edition of the vernacular translation of the DC preserved in the Paris manuscript.
