This essay provides a brief cross-section of queer themes in Asian visual, media and performing arts, in particular focusing on the Japanese artist collective "Dumb Type" and on their piece "S/N" (1994), Tadasu Takamine's works "JAPANESE SYNDROME~Step 2. “Inside of the Ball” and "Kimura-san" and on Choy Ka Fay's theatre.
