Abstract

Edukační praxi muzeí ovlivňuje nejen odborné zaměření instituce a specializace sbírek, ale stejně zásadně i rozsah těchto sbírek a prostor, v nichž jsou zprostředkovávány publiku, počet pracovníků, jimiž muzeum disponuje, a prostředí, v němž muzeum působí. Edukační činnost v malém muzeu má svá specifika a nelze ji zjednodušeně chápat jako redukovanou podobu pedagogického působení větších či velkých muzeí. Leckdy právě malá muzea těží z těsnějších vazeb se svým publikem, dynamičtěji implementují inovace v edukaci a v řadě ohledů mohou inspirovat ostatní muzea. Sedmý ročník konference, pořádané Komisí pro práci s veřejností a muzejní pedagogiku při Asociaci muzeí a galerií České republiky, se soustředí na vhled do současné pedagogické práce malých muzeí a debatu nad souvisejícími otázkami: Jaké může edukační práce v malém muzeu přinášet benefity a příležitosti, které naopak větší muzea častokrát nemají nebo nevyužívají? S jakým spektrem subjektů může muzeum spolupracovat a do jakých infrastruktur vstupovat? Jak je možné docílit bližších vazeb a lepšího dosahu na své publikum? Jaká úskalí ale i přínosy vyplývají z malého pracovního týmu v muzeu a případných kumulovaných pracovních pozic, které mohou zahrnovat také pracovní náplň muzejního pedagoga?

Abstract (in English)

The educational practice of museums is influenced not only by the professional focus of the institution and the specialisation of the collections, but also, and just as fundamentally, by the extent of these collections and the spaces in which they are made available to the public, the number of staff at the museum's disposal, and the environment in which the museum operates. Educational activity in a small museum has its own specifics and cannot be simplistically understood as a reduced form of the pedagogical activity of larger or big museums. It is often small museums that benefit from closer ties with their audiences, implement innovations in education more dynamically and in many ways can inspire other museums. The seventh edition of the conference, organized by the Committee for Public Relations and Museum Pedagogy of the Czech Association of Museums and Galleries, will focus on insights into the current educational work of small museums and debate on related questions. With what range of actors can a museum cooperate and what infrastructures can it enter? How is it possible to achieve closer links and better outreach to its audiences? What are the pitfalls but also the benefits of having a small working team in a museum and possible cumulative job roles that may include that of a museum educator?
