Abstract
An acceptable nutrition is a basic for right growth, health and development of child. Breastfeeding is a ideal way of baby nutrition during the first six month. Since age of six moht maternal milk is not sufficient for the need of energy and nutrition. Then children merge into uisual diet. In January 2008 there was realized a research on nutrition of children until age of two years. The research was realized in chosen maternity hospitals in Frýdek-Místek region in the Czech Republic by questionnaire method. 50 mothers took part in these questionnaires. The questionnaires contented 41 questions, there are published only some of them in this paper. It was found that almost all children (94%) were on full breast feeding after leaving maternity ward, in age of six monht full breastfeeding remained in 74% of children only. 10% of mothers stayed during their pregnant time in smoky environment, 6% of them were active smokers. The most grequent allergy was on eggs and cacao allergy.
