Abstract

La conférence internationale "Perception du langage et de la parole" était fondamentalement multidisciplinaire et visait à enrichir les disciplines linguistiques traditionnelles d'une composante perceptive fondamentalement subjective et d'une composante physiologique objective. Ma propre conférence, qui portait précisément sur la composante de la signification perceptuelle des messages influencée par les processus physiologiques activés par l'écoute de la musique, ainsi que par le prisme de l'expérience subjective de l'individu, s'inscrivait donc dans le programme. Les chants accompagnent l'homme depuis sa création, tant du point de vue ontogénétique que phylogénétique. L'interprétation des chansons est un exploit herméneutique complexe, mais leur perception reste peu étudiée. Je me concentre sur les interactions possibles entre le sens musical et le sens véhiculé par les paroles, ou la sémantique de la chanson. J'ai cherché à savoir dans quelle mesure la musique et le langage font appel aux mêmes ressources cognitives lors de l'écoute d'une chanson. J'ai passé en revue les preuves qui suggèrent que la musique influence la cognition sémantique par le biais de l'imagerie mentale et des indices contextuels qui modulent l'interprétation des informations textuelles et créent des concepts ad hoc.

Mezinárodní konference “Vnímání jazyka a promluvy” byla svým zaměřením zásadně multidisciplinární a jejím cílem bylo obohatit tradiční lingvistická odvětví o zásadně subjektivní složku vnímací, jakož i složku objektivně fyziologickou. Moje vlastní přednáška, která se zaměřovala právě na složku vnímání významu sdělení ovlivněnou fyziologickými procesy aktivovanými poslechem hudby, jakož i prismatem subjektivní zkušenosti jednotlivce, tak do programu zapadala. Písně provázejí člověka od jeho vzniku, a to jak z ontogenetického, tak z fylogenetického hlediska. Interpretace písní je složitý hermeneutický výkon, ale jejich vnímání zůstává málo prozkoumané. Zaměřila jsem se na možné interakce mezi hudebním významem a významem zprostředkovaným textem, neboli sémantikou písně. Zkoumala jsem, do jaké míry hudba a jazyk při poslechu písně čerpají ze stejných kognitivních zdrojů. Podala jsem přehled důkazů, které naznačují, že hudba ovlivňuje sémantické poznávání prostřednictvím mentálních představ a kontextových narážek, které modulují interpretaci textových informací a vytvářejí ad hoc pojmy.

Abstract (in English)

The "Perception of Language and Speech" international conference was fundamentally multidisciplinary and aimed to enrich the traditional linguistic disciplines with a fundamentally subjective perceptual component and an objective physiological component. My own lecture, which dealt precisely with the component of the perceptual meaning of messages influenced by the physiological processes activated by listening to music, as well as by the prism of the individual's subjective experience, was therefore part of the programme. Songs have accompanied man since his creation, both ontogenetically and phylogenetically. Interpreting songs is a complex hermeneutic feat, but their perception remains little studied. I am focusing on the possible interactions between musical meaning and the meaning conveyed by the lyrics, or the semantics of the song. I investigated the extent to which music and language draw on the same cognitive resources when listening to a song. I reviewed evidence suggesting that music influences semantic cognition through mental imagery and contextual cues that modulate the interpretation of textual information and create ad hoc concepts.
